Lonely Hearts
|
As I gaze into a mirror,
a reflection hangs on the wall
Reflecting an empty space
where you once stood so tall
As I make myself a meal
out of habit I set you a place
It’s then I sadly realise
as tears trickle down my face
When I go to bed each night
I forget still reach out for you
In realising you're not there
tears soak my pillow through
I awake each new days morning
again feeling bitter and blue
This place is cold and lonely now
its heart left along with you.
